Swedens Recovery Plan Positively Assessed
The European Commission has given a positive preliminary assessment of Swedens first payment request for €1.6 billion under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), part of NextGenerationEU. Sweden has successfully completed 27 milestones and targets focused on climate, digitalization, education, and training.
Key measures include the Climate Leap to reduce CO2 emissions and broadband expansion for 66,000 buildings. This underscores Swedens progress towards a greener and more digital future. The entire plan is funded with €3.5 billion in grants.
