Commission adopts its July infringement procedures
To ensure citizens and businesses fully benefit from EU legislation, the Commission engages continuously with Member States to ensure compliance. Today’s infringement package includes 49 letters of formal notice and 51 reasoned opinions. The Commission is also referring 6 cases to the Court of Justice of the European Union and closing 64 cases where compliance has been achieved. The decisions and press releases are available online. Commission launches open consultation on the forthcoming Digital Fairness Act
The European Commission has initiated a public consultation on the upcoming Digital Fairness Act.
This Act aims to enhance consumer protection and fairness in the digital realm while simplifying regulations for businesses. It will tackle challenges such as deceptive online practices and prioritize the protection of minors. The consultation is open for 12 weeks for stakeholders to share insights on strengthening EU consumer protection online.

Commission clears acquisition of Københavns Lufthavne by the Kingdom of Denmark
The Commission has approved the Kingdom of Denmarks acquisition of sole control over Københavns Lufthavne (‘CPH). This transaction primarily impacts airport infrastructure services.

Commission clears acquisition of CrossCountry by Investcorp and PSP
The Commission has approved Investcorps joint control of Victors CCC Topco LP (‘CrossCountry). The transaction mainly involves providing business solutions.
