The President emphasized the importance of predictable and fair trade conditions and praised the strong partnership between the European Union and New Zealand, highlighting the ambitious Free Trade Agreement, which celebrates its first anniversary this May.
The President discussed opportunities for closer cooperation between the European Union and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), where New Zealand plays a leading role. She expressed her interest in exploring this further as part of her broader commitment to free and fair trade and strengthening global partnerships.
The President also expressed her gratitude to the Prime Minister for New Zealands steadfast support for Ukraine and its contribution to the Coalition of the Willing.
Both leaders agreed to meet in person at the earliest opportunity.
