We are concerned about the US measures adopted today that restrict the export of advanced AI chips to certain EU Member States and their companies.

We believe it is also in the USs economic and security interest for the EU to purchase advanced AI chips from the US without limitations. We cooperate closely, especially in the field of security, and represent an economic opportunity for the US, not a security risk.

We have already expressed our concerns to the current US administration and look forward to constructive engagement with the next US administration. We are confident that we can find a way to maintain a secure transatlantic supply chain for AI technology and supercomputers, benefiting companies and citizens on both sides of the Atlantic.
