Bart Bikkers was sworn in on Wednesday, March 26 by House Speaker Martin Bosma as a Member of Parliament for the VVD.

The new Member of Parliament succeeds Christianne van der Wal. Van der Wal was a member of the House of Representatives until March 25.

Alderman

Before his membership in the House of Representatives, Bikkers was an alderman in the municipality of Vlaardingen, focusing on issues such as finance, economic affairs, and traffic. In the House, he is involved with childcare, poverty, and debt counseling.
