The House of Representatives continues the debate on the situation in Gaza on Friday, August 22. There will also be votes on the motions submitted by the members a day earlier.
With a two-minute debate on Thursday, August 21, the House aimed to conclude the committee debate earlier this month on the situation in Gaza. During a two-minute debate, members can submit motions, which is not possible during a committee debate. The House would vote on the motions immediately after the debate.
Council of Ministers
Later that evening, the House decided to suspend the debate and the subsequent votes and continue on Friday, August 22. This continuation is after the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers. Minister Caspar Veldkamp of Foreign Affairs, with whom the House is debating about Gaza, can consult on the subject there.
