Debate on Combating Antisemitism September 19, 2025 The House of Representatives will debate on Tuesday, September 23, about measures against antisemitism with Ministers Foort van Oosten of Justice and Security and Gouke Moes of Education, Culture and Science. You can follow the debate live via Debat Direct.  Former Minister of Justice and Security Van Weel sent a letter to the House in July of this year regarding the fight against antisemitism. For this fight, the cabinet has developed a strategy and a series of measures in 2024. The measures are implemented by the ministries of Justice and Security, Education, Culture and Science, Interior and Kingdom Relations, Social Affairs and Employment, and Health, Welfare and Sport. Inclusive SocietySome Jews no longer feel safe expressing their identity openly. This is concerning and unacceptable. The Netherlands stands for an open and inclusive society, in which Jews can live their identity and religion freely, without fear or hindrance, writes Van Weel in the letter. ReportingThe measures include securing Jewish institutions, addressing perpetrators, and supporting victims. Victims of antisemitism should also be able to report their cases confidently to the intended central organization of municipal anti-discrimination facilities (ADV’s). Since February 1, 2025, there has been a Taskforce Against Antisemitism, which aims to promote the social and physical safety of Jews. Special attention is given to combating antisemitism in education. Read more and follow liveRead the documents related to this meeting.Follow the debate starting at 6:55 PM via External link: Debat Direct.
