It is intended as an instrument for direct communication and personal meetings between members of the parliaments in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The delegations exchange information and positions, and there is room for personal consultation on various topics that concern the countries. The consultation takes place in principle twice a year: in January in one of the Caribbean countries of the Kingdom, and in June in The Hague. Due to the NATO summit, the summer edition in 2025 has been moved to September.History The first consultation dates back to 1970 with partners Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles, and Suriname. After 1975, the year in which Suriname became independent, meetings between the Netherlands and the Netherlands Antilles took place. In 1986, the year Aruba received its separate status, the number of partners returned to three. Since the dismantling of the Netherlands Antilles on October 10, 2010, the IPKO consists of the parliaments of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and the Netherlands.Read more and follow liveRead more about the committee for Kingdom Relations.View External link: the program for the three days. You can follow the public meetings via External link: the livestream of the Senate.
