During the NATO summit on June 24 and 25, the Chamber building will be less accessible. The parliamentary process will continue during the summit week, but due to extra security and traffic measures in and around The Hague, there will be an adjusted meeting schedule. All public meetings can be followed via the livestreams on this website and Debat Direct.
The Presidium has proposed not to schedule two-minute debates on the plenary meeting days of June 24, 25, and 26. On these days, larger debates are on the agenda. The oral question hour on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM will continue as usual. Committees have been asked to limit the number of committee debates during this week to a minimum. The Chamber building is poorly accessible but remains open to visitors.
NATO Summit in The Hague
This is the first time since the establishment of NATO in 1949 that the Netherlands is hosting a NATO summit. Organizing it is one of the largest security operations in the Netherlands, affecting traffic and public transport in the Randstad, particularly in and around The Hague. Roads are being closed from, to, and in The Hague.
