The committees of the House of Representatives will receive several petitions on Tuesday, June 17, as they do every meeting week. Citizens and organizations wishing to express their views will come to the building of the House of Representatives to present their petitions. This time, the Members of Parliament will receive eight petitions.
The petition presentation will take place between 1:15 PM and 2:00 PM in the central hall of the House of Representatives, the Statenpassage. Citizens and organizations will present their petitions to various committees. Members of Parliament from those committees will come to the Statenpassage to receive the petitions.
Petitions on Tuesday, June 17
- 1:15 PM: petition Do not abolish the educational opportunities scheme for 455,000 students by the VO council, on behalf of the PO Council, Sector Council Practical Education, Foundation Platforms vmbo, Platform TL, AVS, AOb, CNV, FvoV, LAKS, Parents & Education and Foundation for working parents to the Committee for Education, Culture and Science;
- 1:15 PM: petition For the preservation of good maternity care for the Netherlands by FNV Healthcare and Welfare/CNV to the Committee for Health, Welfare and Sport;
- 1:15 PM: petition Agriculture, no exploitation! by the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences to the Committee for Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature;
- 1:30 PM: petition for the establishment of a State Commission on Youth Care by victims of the benefits scandal to the Committee for Justice and Security;
- 1:30 PM: petition Make it fair for every intern by BNNVARA, the National Student Union, JOBmbo and FNV Young & United to the Committee for Education, Culture and Science;
- 1:30 PM: petition Support global AIDS prevention by the AIDS Fund to the Committee for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation;
- 1:45 PM: petition Stop the housing crisis by Aedes, on behalf of home seekers, housing corporations, developers and municipalities, to the Committee for Housing and Spatial Planning;
- 1:45 PM: petition Better protection of children and families requires a fundamental change by Youth Care Netherlands, on behalf of Guardians, to the Committee for Justice and Security.
