The committees of the House of Representatives will receive a number of petitions on Tuesday, April 22, as is customary in every meeting week. Citizens and organizations wishing to express their views will come to the building of the House of Representatives to do so in the form of a petition presentation. This time, the Members of Parliament will receive five petitions.
The petition presentation will take place between 1:15 PM and 2:00 PM in the central hall of the House of Representatives, the Statenpassage. Citizens and organizations will present the petitions to various committees. Members of Parliament from those committees will come to the Statenpassage to receive the petitions.
Petitions on Tuesday, April 22
- 1:15 PM: petition Strengthen the Food Choice Logo Nutri-Score! on behalf of Schuttelaar & Partners to the Committee for Health, Welfare and Sport;
- 1:15 PM: petition regarding accelerated sustainability of the building ceramics industry on behalf of the Royal Dutch Building Ceramics to the Committee for Climate and Green Growth;
- 1:15 PM: petition regarding the denial of the Armenian genocide on behalf of Hay Tad Netherlands to the Committee for Foreign Affairs;
- 1:30 PM: petition Protect the Dutch against environmental and health damage from industry on behalf of Nature & Environment to the Committee for Infrastructure and Water Management;
- 1:45 PM: petition Green Transport, Red Figures on behalf of Royal Dutch Transport to the Committee for Infrastructure and Water Management.
What is a petition?
A petition is a way for citizens and organizations to make their voices heard. The petition can, for example, be about government plans that the submitters disagree with, or about a subject that they believe is receiving too little attention in the House.
