What is a roundtable discussion?
The permanent committees of the House of Representatives regularly organize hearings and roundtable discussions. Experts or stakeholders are asked to provide explanations on the topic to be discussed. Multiple participants engage with Members of Parliament simultaneously, leading to an internal discussion and clarification of differing views. Members of Parliament use the input from the roundtable discussion in the government policy debate.
