We can hopefully assume that the new is emerging, in unexpected places and unforeseen locations. We see numerous economic initiatives and counter-movements that already show something of a new economy, even though there is not yet a new system that encompasses everything. I think of cooperative organizations, citizen initiatives, new partnerships in the business world, and promising innovations that point the way to a new, sustainable economy.
