It was a very enjoyable experience to speed date with these young civil servants, and as far as Im concerned, its worth repeating. It was especially inspiring to see how interested everyone was in each other and how questions were asked in a very open and relaxed atmosphere. There are, of course, differences between Members of Parliament and civil servants, but the drive to do something beautiful for society was felt by everyone, and that binds us more than we might sometimes realize in daily practice.
Moments to have contact with each other are important because we have to do it together. Each from their own role and responsibility, but still together. Understanding each other better helps in this collaboration. I found the questions from civil servants about how they could further help us very beautiful. That service touches me, and after such an afternoon, I appreciate this commitment even more than before.
