With this initiative law, we arrange that children can have a maximum of four parents if this is agreed upon before conception and confirmed by the court. In a situation where multiple adults are involved in the care and upbringing of a child, it can be important for them and also for the child that all parents are legally recognized.
The VVD believes it is important that laws align with current practice and that issues faced by children and parents today are resolved. Therefore, we want children to receive the legal rights and protection they need, and that all parents can officially fulfill their roles.
