If the Netherlands stands strong in Europe, Europe can stand stronger against great powers like the US and China. So we must build that strong Netherlands more than ever.

That is why the VVD presents a plan today with which we radically choose for economic growth. Because we all benefit from economic growth: with jobs and a country full of opportunities. With enough money for the best care and facilities, and for our safety.

We make a conscious, radical choice for growth. We choose to make entrepreneurship in the Netherlands more attractive, to make work more rewarding, and to keep companies in the Netherlands and encourage them to invest here. We choose to give entrepreneurs space, no longer suffocating them in regulations and ensuring that our beautiful companies let our country lead in the world again.

How much we can invest in our own safety and a better Netherlands depends on a strong economy that grows. And such an economy, in our opinion, cannot exist without our basic industry. It literally forms the basis. We want to do what is necessary to keep these companies and the associated jobs in our country. To choose the sectors and techniques of the future and to create the conditions that make our country a good place to do business. For this, we will also make concrete proposals.

Earlier this year, we as VVD presented our vision and plans for working Netherlands and for a realistic and mature foreign policy. With these plans, we will engage in the political arena, and we have already achieved some points. Not everything will always succeed immediately in a coalition country like the Netherlands, but it is important to me that we keep sharp about where we as VVD want to go.

Let it be clear with this vision and proposals: the VVD chooses growth. While parties from the left to the so-called right choose for redistribution of scarcity, or even for degrowth, we choose for a strong and safe Netherlands where we will all do better again.
