Christianne van der Wal leaves the House of Representatives and bids farewell to the VVD faction. We are grateful for her dedication to the Netherlands and will miss her.
Her political career began as a councilor and alderman in Harderwijk. She then served as a deputy in the province of Gelderland and later as the party chairman of the VVD. In the Rutte IV cabinet, she took on the role of minister for Nature and Nitrogen. In the House of Representatives, she was passionately committed to Defense and the safety of the Netherlands.
Read her reaction to her departure and the words of faction leader Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius below.
