Response from Jacqueline van den Hil
With a heavy heart, I will leave the House of Representatives on May 13, 2025. It has been a great honor for me to have worked in Zeelands healthcare for 33 years and to have been installed as a Member of Parliament representing the VVD on March 31, 2021. As spokesperson for Health, Welfare, Sports (VWS) and childcare, I have been committed from day one to the full breadth of healthcare, welfare, and sports in the Netherlands. As a proud Zeeuw, I have always seen myself in The Hague next to spokesperson VWS as an ambassador for Zeeland.
Every day I took Zeeland with me in my backpack to The Hague. After 4 years of fighting from The Hague for healthcare, welfare, and sports, I have chosen to return to Zeelands healthcare with my backpack full of political experience. Therefore, I have decided to start as a director at Viazorg on August 1, 2025. A Zeeland healthcare organization that focuses on accessibility and collaboration in healthcare and welfare in Zeeland.
I want to thank my colleagues from the House of Representatives and my dear VVD colleagues for the pleasant cooperation over the past years.
