Currently (October 15, 2025), rumors are circulating on social media that a dog may have been bitten by a wolf in the vicinity of Spier. No confirmation of this incident has been found by the province of Drenthe or the municipalities of Midden-Drenthe and Westerveld.

Seen a wolf? Heres what you can do
