The Province of Drenthe is allocating €176,000 to further strengthen National Park Dwingelderveld, National Park Drents-Friese Wold, and the Holtingerveld primeval landscape. The contributions go to projects that support residents, volunteers, and visitors and connect them with each other.
Landscape Management Drenthe receives €80,000 for guiding village networks committed to the landscape. Staatsbosbeheer receives €16,000 to strengthen the visitor center of the Drents-Friese Wold, so volunteers and hosts are better supported. IVN receives €80,000 for additional efforts in education and communication in the area, including an educational staff member.
“In the Drents-Friese border region, many residents, volunteers, and organizations work with heart for the area,” says deputy Henk Emmens. “With these contributions, we help them to continue doing that work well. Together, we strengthen nature, the experience, and the connection with the villages.”
The projects align with the joint ambition plan of the Drents-Friese border region. The funds come from a grant by the Ministry of LVVN.
