How can we stimulate economic cooperation between Flevoland and India? And what does the Indian community in the province look like? These questions were central during the visit of the Ambassador of India, Mr. Kumar Tuhin, to the Province of Flevoland on Thursday, November 13.

The Visit

After an official reception, during which the ambassador signed the guestbook and posed for photos, the substantive part of the program began. At the provincial house, the group received several presentations about, among other things, the economic profile of Flevoland and the Indian community living in the province.

After lunch, Deputy Toon van Dijk took the Indian delegation to the Shri Ganesha School in Almere. There, they were given a tour by Nathalie van Gils, chairwoman of the Hindu Education Foundation Netherlands. At the end of the tour, the schoolchildren performed a traditional dance.

The visit concluded with an economic roundtable discussion. The delegation spoke with representatives of various Flevoland companies active in India about economic cooperation between the Netherlands and India.
