Almere becomes the new home of the headquarters of ASM International N.V., a leading player in the semiconductor industry. The company is the first to establish itself at the Green High Tech Campus, which is being developed on the southern shore of the Weerwater in Almere. With this step, ASM is investing hundreds of millions of euros in a state-of-the-art research & development center, a specialized training facility, and part of the production. This means a significant expansion of activities and employment in the Netherlands.
The largest economic investment in Flevoland ever
The arrival of ASM in Almere is a milestone for Flevoland. It strengthens the position of the Netherlands in the global chip industry and gives a strong boost to the regional economy.
