In Flevoland, we experience daily what national decisions mean for our residents. From housing to energy, accessibility to employment: the choices made today directly affect Flevoland.

A stable cabinet that sees regions as allies

Our call to The Hague is clear: quickly form a stable cabinet that sees the regions as allies. The Netherlands is growing not only in the Randstad but also here, where space, innovation, and cooperation go hand in hand.

Flevoland wants to actively contribute to solutions for the major challenges facing our country. For this, it is necessary that the national government invests in the connections that make this possible: the Lelylijn as the backbone of Northern Netherlands, space on the electricity grid to continue the energy transition, support for housing that contributes to livable and well-accessible cities and villages. Investing in better vocational and higher education and a more suitable labor market that brings our region more economic balance.

Working together on progress and clarity

We are already working closely with our municipalities, the water board, and social partners. This was also the core of our message to The Hague around Budget Day: progress and decisiveness. The agreements made on housing, infrastructure, energy supply, and employment must be continued. With the resources and administrative clarity that belong to them.

As a province, we are ready to shape that cooperation and work together with the new cabinet on solutions that advance the Netherlands.
