During our New Years meeting on Monday, January 26, the WE FLEVOLAND letters were unveiled in Urk: these letters form the heart of the campaign of the same name that makes Flevolands unique identity visible and strengthens it. The letters stand on the former island near the Port of Urk, a unique place symbolizing Flevoland.
Port of Urk is developing into a vibrant industrial area full of innovation and entrepreneurship. A place where education and business find each other even more firmly, so that young professionals are ready for the future. And 2026 is also the year in which the maritime cluster further strengthens its position worldwide; smarter, more sustainable, and stronger than ever. In Urk and Flevoland, WE are moving forward at full speed.
A special campaign
This year, the province of Flevoland celebrates 40 years. A special year calls for a special campaign: WE FLEVOLAND is the story of a province built by unique people who found each other in courage, vision, and decisiveness. And where ambitions remain undiminished to continue renewing and innovating. The 3D letters form the physical and symbolic heart of that story. They represent the sense of togetherness that made Flevoland great: the residents, entrepreneurs, organizations, and partners who live, work, learn, create, and innovate together here.
