The new roundabout at the intersection of Biddingringweg and Elburgerweg has been open to traffic since Sunday evening, November 23. This marks the completion of the final phase of the works. The new roundabout improves traffic safety and flow at this busy junction.
The construction took slightly longer than planned. Due to wet weather in October, the concrete could not cure properly. To prevent damage to the road surface, the opening was postponed by one week.
Detour
There is still a detour for (moped) cyclists. Because a new cycle path is being built next to the roundabout, they will be detoured for about two weeks via the center of Dronten and/or the Haringweg.
