The provinces of Flevoland and Gelderland and the municipalities of Ermelo, Harderwijk, Putten, and Zeewolde (EHPZ) are collaborating on a Regional Program for Business Locations (RPW). This program establishes joint agreements on sufficient and future-proof space for businesses, the sustainability of business parks, and strengthening the regional economy. The cooperation contributes to an attractive business climate and provides room for company growth.

Provinces emphasize the importance of collaboration

Deputy Toon van Dijk (Flevoland) stresses the importance of regional coordination: “The pressure on space is increasing. That is why we make clear choices together: space for living and space for working. This gives entrepreneurs perspective and helps build a future-proof economy in the region.”

In Gelderland, the importance of this cooperation is also acknowledged. Deputy Helga Witjes states: “With this program, we ensure together with the region sufficient space for business activity and sustainability. It is great that Ermelo, Harderwijk, Putten, and Zeewolde are jointly taking action.”

The power of regional cooperation

With the RPW, the involved authorities demonstrate that they collaborate across municipal and provincial borders on important challenges such as economic development and sustainability. This joint approach is essential to keep the EHPZ region strong, vital, and attractive for both residents and entrepreneurs.
