Due to wet and stormy weather in the second half of October, the concrete at the new roundabout at the Biddingringweg-Elburgerweg intersection needs more time to cure. To ensure the quality and safety of the roundabout, it will open one week later. The finishing works are now scheduled over two weekends: November 15-16 and November 22-23.
Weekend November 15 - 16: paving and marking
- The asphalt and road markings on the access roads will be applied
- Bypass of the intersection temporarily closed from Saturday morning 7:00 AM
- The bypass is expected to reopen for traffic around Sunday 6:00 PM
Weekend November 22 - 23: removal of bypass and opening
- The bypass will be removed and the location finalized with earthworks
- The entire intersection will be temporarily closed from Saturday 7:00 AM
- The new roundabout will open for traffic by Sunday evening, November 24
Detour
During the weekend closures, traffic will be detoured. Follow the traffic signs and message boards on site. We thank road users and residents for their understanding during the works. The new roundabout will provide a safe and smooth flow at this busy intersection.
