Green Lung Lichtenvoorde; meeting, movement, and connection
On May 26, 2025, we signed the neighborhood and village deal Green Lung Lichtenvoorde. A special step in a widely supported initiative that gives a new impulse to meeting, movement, and connection in the neighborhoods of Lichtenvoorde.
In the coming 2 years, new meeting places will be created in various locations in the village. For example, playground De Schatberg will become a green meeting place for young and old. Wentholtpark will be the central link between the neighborhoods. The Hamalandhal and Swimming Pool Meekenesch will be made more sustainable and expanded. And neighborhood association t Hooiland will organize activities for local residents.

Greenhouse Elburg; connecting young and old
On June 4, 2025, the neighborhood and village deal of Stichting Groeikas was signed. Groeikas works towards a livable, sustainable, and connected community. Young and old meet each other. New connections are being made, and Elburg is literally getting into motion. In the Molenkamp area, a food meeting place, a food cooperative, and a movement route will be created. Children learn about healthy eating, older adults drink coffee together, and volunteers maintain the edible gardens. Additionally, activities will take place in the greenhouse, a movement route with equipment will be established, and the history and culture of Elburgs gardening life will be made visible.
Library Nijkerk; as the heart of the city
Also on June 4, 2025, the neighborhood and village deal in Nijkerk was closed. The deal ensures a future-proof library that invites meeting, development, and cultural exchange. A library for and by everyone. The deal underscores how important it is to work together on a place where everyone feels welcome. The library will be the place where people meet, learn, and do things together. A meeting space with a coffee corner, an accessible stage, spaces for language lessons, courses, and rehearsals will be created. And a new youth corner with a play-o-theque will be established.
