Impact One kicks off
In 2025, 4 communities will start with themes such as material flows, reuse of circular steel, and climate installations that regulate temperature and ventilation. On November 17, 2025, the first community ‘Impact One’ started. “Many entrepreneurs ask: where do I begin?” says chain manager Martin Landkroon. “Within this community, we offer direct help. No thick reports, but concrete steps. Together with experienced professionals, we map the raw material flow and look for opportunities to reduce, replace, or use smarter.”
Entrepreneurs see opportunities
Various companies in the manufacturing industry have joined Impact One, such as:
- play equipment manufacturer Lappset,
- curtain producer Vadain,
- concrete manufacturer Preco,
- all-round graphic producer Koninklijke van der Morst.
“We participate in the BOOST Circular program because we believe circularity and profit can go hand in hand,” says Charles van Elst of Koninklijke van der Most. “By collaborating with other companies, we discover new ways to use fewer raw materials and produce more efficiently. That is good for our company and for the future.”
Making a circular economy
The only economy with a future is sustainable and circular. That is why we want circular entrepreneurship to become the standard in Gelderland. Because from circular you can make an economy, and the BOOST Circular program will certainly help with that, as it is a community where entrepreneurs learn from each other. This way, we connect collaboration and innovation. That is good for the economy, our entrepreneurs, and future generations.

Why circular entrepreneurship?
Circular entrepreneurship goes beyond just recycling (reuse). It requires different choices in product design, longer lifespan, new business models, and smart reuse of materials. These challenges simultaneously offer entrepreneurs new opportunities to invest in quality, strong customer relationships, own choices, and less dependency on others.
Working together for the economy of tomorrow
Everyone faces a transition to a circular economy. Less waste means less garbage, less CO2 emissions, and less dependency on other countries. At the same time, new opportunities arise for innovation and employment. “For a circular economy, we desperately need each other,” says deputy Erwin Hoogland of the province of Overijssel. “It is the economy of the future, for the society of the future. Our manufacturing industry can do this! There are plenty of opportunities, and we keep our region innovative and competitive.”
Join us too?
Are you an entrepreneur with circular ambitions and interested in joining one of the communities? Or do you have an idea for a new community? We do it together
We have the ambition to be fully circular by 2050. The BOOST Circular program brings this national ambition into practice in East Netherlands. The program is carried out by Oost NL in collaboration with industry organizations, commercial parties, and the provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland.
