The Village Deal Haalderen is an initiative that connects residents and encourages them to be active.
Haalderen is getting a new meeting place. The Multifunctional Culture and Sports Facility (MFA) will be a place that connects residents and encourages them to be active.
Published on: August 29, 2025The MFA in Haalderen will be the place for meeting, movement, and development. Residents will cook together, play sports, and organize activities for young and old. Everyone participates, from children to seniors. There will soon be a café with a professional kitchen, a living room library, a cinema space, a movement garden, play elements, a sports field, and artworks.
What makes this initiative special is that residents are actively involved. It is by and for the village. Young and old contribute ideas, participate, and build together a place that truly belongs to the village. Artworks are designed together with local artists and residents. And volunteers help in the café and with activities.
Working Together
The MFA in Haalderen shows what is possible when residents, associations, and the municipality work together to improve the livability of the village. Initiatives like this make villages future-proof.

This livability initiative is made possible by the enthusiastic collaboration between the Dorpshuis Haalderen Foundation, R.K.V.V. HAVO Football Club, Haalderen Tennis Club, KIVAC Foundation, Haalderen Leeft Neighborhood Platform, and the Municipality of Lingewaard. We support this project with a financial contribution from the neighborhood and village deal scheme.
