Clean drinking water is so taken for granted. What we dont see is the wonderful journey each drop has taken. Sometimes thousands of years through the ground. Clean groundwater, the source of drinking water that comes from everyones tap. We asked residents of Gelderland to capture the journey of water in their own way. From cloud to tap. Many lively, atmospheric, quirky, and cheerful photos were submitted. They show how valuable water is for all of us. A professional jury and the public have chosen the winners.  

The winning photos will be exhibited in August in the Binnenhof at the Provincial House and until October 10 at the Water Museum in Arnhem. All photos can be viewed at www.water-wonderen.nl/fotowedstrijd 

The contest was held as part of the Water Wonders campaign, a component of the Groundwater Protection Implementation Program Gelderland.
