Parents had asked through the school principal if the deputy could come by to answer questions about the wolves in their area.

Discussing Together

During the visit, the schoolchildren and their parents discussed with the deputy. They asked questions such as: “Have you ever seen a wolf yourself?”, “What can we do to keep the wolf out?” and “Do you also have a wolf alarm?” A few children in the class had a special alarm that makes a very loud noise. With this, they hope to scare the wolf away if they encounter one.

Lesson Package About the Wolf

During the visit, the deputy handed over a lesson package about the wolf. The province had this lesson package developed and it has recently been updated. In the lesson package, children learn what it means to live with wolves in their environment. But also what they can do when they encounter a wolf. There are also fun exercises and games included.

The lesson package can be requested via the Provincial Office.
