The Lakes of Borculo (formerly known as Hambroekplas) currently contain no harmful substances. The swimming water was tested after the incident at Friesland Campina in Borculo on July 3, 2025.

This additional sampling does not give us reason for a negative swimming advice. The municipality of Berkelland and the water board Rijn en IJssel have been informed of these findings.
