Village Deal Winssen

In Winssen, the deputies visited community center De Paulus. Initiator Louis Litjens demonstrated how the village deal Winssen works in practice. Together with the municipality of Beuningen and residents, this approach creates strong networks and facilities that meet peoples needs. Residents jointly organize activities in the community center. Neighbors also find each other more easily, which fosters greater social cohesion.

Success Lies with the Residents Themselves

The success of the Gelderland neighborhood and village deals lies with the residents themselves. They take the initiative and strengthen their village or neighborhood. As a province, we support this and are happy to share this approach with other provinces.

During the administrative consultation, deputies from Gelderland, Utrecht, and Limburg discussed their experiences with livability. They talked about how provinces can strengthen this together with municipalities and residents.

42 Deals Realized

Gelderland is on track: of the 100 planned Neighborhood and Village Deals, 42 have now been realized. With the enthusiasm of residents and partners, work on the next deals continues with confidence.

Flemish Interest

Flemish authorities also inquired this week about a possible working visit. This confirms that the Gelderland approach is widely seen as an inspiring example.
