From 1 to 12 December 2025, all trees along Canal South, Apeldoornseweg and Dierenseweg will be inspected. This is because the Canal Route is being redesigned and the speed limit there will be 60 kilometers per hour. We want to protect the trees well during the works.
During the inspection, we check whether the works affect the trees. Sometimes digging is done in the verge to examine the roots. We also check for cavities in the trees where protected animals, such as bats, may live. The inspections take place on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. There will be moving roadblocks. Traffic may experience some inconvenience as a result.
