During the annual Floralia Flower Parade festival, our Village Deal was signed. This gives residents of Voorthuizen a vibrant place to come together and enjoy activities. This creates an even stronger community life.

Good news for the community life in Voorthuizen! 

Thanks to the collaboration between local associations, the municipality of Barneveld, and our Village Deal, a new, future-proof building is being constructed. Suitable for sports, culture, and meetings. A vibrant place for residents to come together and enjoy activities such as Kings Day, Floralia Flower Parade festival, and the Harvest Festival. 

All Associations and Activities in One Place

The new modern multifunctional building will be located on Oud Zeumerseweg, next to the sports park of De Kieviten. This place will accommodate the activities of the Orange Association, Floralia Association, and Ice and Skating Association t Grieze Veen. The Floralia Association will finally have a permanent place to build parade floats. A regional ice and skating rink will also be built. And there is enough space for various activities that further strengthen social cohesion in the village.

The enthusiasm to work together to seek even more connection with each other makes me happy and proud of these involved Gelderlanders.

The current location of the Orange Association on Roelenengweg will disappear, as housing will be built there. During the festive event of the Floralia Flower Parade festival, the collaboration was officially made with the signing of the Village Deal Voorthuizen.
