Initiator Vattenfall N.V. has submitted a request to build 7 wind turbines. The locations are on both sides of the A15, in the municipalities of Buren and Neder-Betuwe. The new wind turbines will replace the 4 existing wind turbines. The project contributes to the goals of the Climate Agreement and the Regional Energy Strategy (RES 1.0) Fruitdelta Rivierenland.
Project Decision Contains Detailed Information
A project decision has now been established for the wind farm Echteld Lienden. This is a new type of decision under the Environmental Law. The project decision grants permission to build the wind farm and also includes the permits for construction, environment, and nature. The Water Board Rivierenland will soon make a decision on a water permit.
The project decision contains all the conditions that the wind farm must meet. Such as rules for noise, shadow flicker, and integration into the landscape and nature. Various studies, including the environmental impact report, are also part of the project decision.
Where can the project decision be viewed?
The decision can be viewed from Thursday, September 18, to Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Online via the page: Energy Park Echteld Lienden and on paper at the Provincial House in Arnhem. Appeals can be filed in writing or digitally with the Council of State. After the appeal period, the decision comes into effect. In case of urgent objections, a provisional measure can be requested.
