Stenfert is already in full swing
In Stenfert, the change is already clearly visible. Residents want a happier, healthier, and close-knit neighborhood. With the neighborhood deal, we are realizing those plans faster. Thanks to the deal, the meeting place ‘Hart van Stenfert’ has emerged in the old Sterrenbos building. There is also more space for neighborhood initiatives, such as taking care of gardens together. An additional neighborhood coach helps residents collaborate even better on a strong neighborhood. The goal: Stenfert becomes a neighborhood where people like to live.
In Dieren-West, they tackle challenges together
Also in Dieren-West, residents take action themselves. There are (new) activities such as a neighborhood handyman service, ‘Soup on the doorstep’, and a warm welcome for new neighbors. With support from housing corporation Vivare, welfare organization Incluzio, Energy Bank, and the municipality, the neighborhood association works on a better neighborhood. The neighborhood faces challenges such as the energy transition and pressure on facilities. The strength lies in tackling these difficult matters together. With support from an experienced neighborhood coach, volunteers build a strong team. This way, they prepare the neighborhood for the future.
Neighborhood theater connects
Although the Village Deals were made separately, we celebrated the signing together. During a Q&A with alderman Dorus Klomberg and deputy Dirk Vreugdenhil and a performance by the Stenfert Neighborhood Theater – with real stories from residents – the neighborhoods showed what it is about: building together a livable and connected Dieren where everyone feels at home.

Village Deal gives an extra boost
In Stenfert and Dieren-West, you can see how powerful a neighborhood becomes when residents themselves take the lead. By seeking each other out and making plans together, a neighborhood emerges that becomes increasingly active and close-knit. With the Village Deals, we gladly give that extra push to further strengthen this energy.
Province of Gelderland

Collaboration
The agreements in these deals originated from the wishes of the neighborhood residents. Because working together on livability starts with the people who live there. Neighborhood residents worked together with: Municipality of Rheden, housing corporation Vivare, welfare organization Incluzio, Energy Bank, and us.
