In September 2025, we received applications for the subsidy Naturally Building Faster. We selected the 6 best proposals. They now receive subsidies and can immediately start accelerating and making their production processes more sustainable.

The companies use the subsidy, among other things, to expand or digitize their prefab production (making large parts of a building in a factory before they go to the construction site). For example, with a new production line or a better-equipped hall. This year it was notable that more and more companies showed they want to work more sustainably. Many winners choose bio-based insulation (insulation material made from natural materials or plants). Natural material is blown into the wall or floor to better insulate a home. Thanks to the subsidy, companies can make these adjustments. This will enable them to build more than 2,600 additional homes in the coming years.

We need to build an incredible number of houses in Gelderland because the housing shortage is high. Factory-based construction will help with this. Through this subsidy, Gelderland production companies can scale up and expand their lines so that they work even more efficiently and productively, with the same number of people. This is one of the great ways to accelerate housing construction in Gelderland, with attention to circularity and sustainability. We are proud of that!
