13 Gelderland and Overijssel projects received a total of over € 15 million in subsidy. All these projects contribute to the transition to a more sustainable economy. We pay the subsidy together with the European Regional Development Fund (EFRO East).

About the Projects

The projects collaborate with at least 3 SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) or a mix of SMEs with large companies and/or knowledge institutions. 7 out of the 13 projects help companies to work more energy-efficiently, use sustainable energy, and reuse materials, reducing waste. By using new techniques, they waste fewer resources and emit less CO2. The other 6 projects focus on further developing smart innovations. From prototype (an initial example of a new product) to bringing a product to market.

Also apply for subsidy?

From September 15, 2025, companies contributing to a sustainable economy can apply for subsidies again. This subsidy is for projects that work on improving energy efficiency (using less energy), renewable energy sources, and circular economy (reuse of items or materials). You can find all the information on the EFRO East website.

About EFRO East

At the core of the Program 2021-2027 are the European goals for regional development. In this context, the provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland created the EFRO program for East Netherlands. They aim for a smarter and greener East Netherlands with strong, innovative entrepreneurs and a powerful small and medium-sized enterprise sector.
