Multiple Challenges in One Place
In Eerbeek, various provincial and national challenges converge. These include the energy transition and grid congestion, water and climate adaptation, industrial development, nature restoration, and housing construction. This combination makes the area complex but also offers opportunities for integrated solutions.
During the working visit, the involved parties literally cycled together into the area to see on site where interests converge and where smart, joint choices are needed. By looking together at practice, it became clear how policy and implementation can better align.

Eerbeek is the Netherlands in miniature.
Here it becomes clear how great the challenges are and what is possible when governments, companies and partners work together.

From Planning to Action
With the visit, the involved parties underline their joint ambition not to remain stuck in policy making but to take concrete steps towards solutions. The challenges require pace and cooperation across administrative layers. In Eerbeek, that cooperation continues, aiming to make progress today on solutions that have long been needed.
