Adult Fund Sport & Culture
To remove this financial barrier, the national Adult Fund Sport & Culture was established in 2020. This fund pays, among other things, membership fees and lesson fees for adults, so that everyone can benefit from the physical and mental advantages of sport and culture.
Commitment to provincial coverage
Seven municipalities in the province have now joined the fund. House for Sport Groningen is committed to getting all municipalities in Groningen to join and strengthening provincial cooperation. By working together according to the same rules, it does not matter in which municipality you live: every adult receives the same support and access to sport and culture.
The province values equal opportunities and supports this initiative with a subsidy of 20ac 40,000. With this contribution, House for Sport Groningen works on a strong provincial approach and can support new municipalities during their start-up period.
Also subsidies for three projects from the Groningen Provincial Exercise Agreement
The province also provides subsidies for projects from the scheme ‘Projects Groningen Provincial Exercise Agreement province Groningen 2025-2027. House for Sport Groningen receives the following:
20ac 30,000 for a pilot with framework coaches at sports clubs;
20ac 30,000 for more adventurous outdoor play at after-school care;
20ac 27,672 to stimulate urban sports, such as freerunning and street football.
