During a ceremonial meeting at the Drielandenpunt in Vaals, the reappointment was officially confirmed by taking the oath. Governor Roemer expressed his appreciation and confidence during the reappointment: “There will be many new challenges on your path, but I am sure you will face them thoughtfully and with consideration for people. You have demonstrated this in the past six years, and I am confident this will continue in the coming years.”
