In Brabant Matters, entrepreneurs tell their story. No policy jargon, but real stories from people who are taking steps together with the province towards a strong and sustainable Brabant economy. Ruben van Maris, director of Maris Projects, kicks off the video series!
In his eyes, waste does not exist, only chaos. “And if you create order out of chaos, you have a product,” he says. From that thought, he works on an innovative solution: making sustainable particle boards from the residual fiber of roadside grass that is mowed all over the Netherlands.
He cannot do this alone. The province of North Brabant connected Ruben with the right parties and provided a financial boost through the Circular Breakthrough Projects scheme to further this innovation. This way, innovation is not just on paper, but there is actually building towards a circular Brabant.
