On Thursday, April 16, from 11:00 to 12:00, a new Energy Brabant session will take place. This webinar focuses on the Energy Perspective: the framework in which the province describes how the Brabant energy system can develop towards 2050 and the role the province can play in this.

The session addresses questions such as: why was the Energy Perspective developed and how did this process proceed? Which parties were involved and how was their input, including that of municipalities and residents, processed? It also covers what the Energy Perspective means for municipalities and the role cooperation plays in further elaboration and implementation.

Shaping the energy system of the future

The transition to a climate-neutral energy system requires significant choices. The shift from fossil to sustainable energy affects energy generation, infrastructure, and land use, impacting sectors such as housing, mobility, and industry. The Energy Perspective 2050 brings these challenges together and supports governments and partners in making long-term decisions.

The Energy Perspective was developed in collaboration with municipalities, water boards, grid operators, social organizations, and residents. It utilized insights from participation meetings, studies, and a Brabant-wide citizen consultation. The first version of the Energy Perspective 2050 was published in January. In summer 2026, the document will be submitted to the Provincial States for decision-making.
