Responding to the study on the underground cable connection between Eindhoven South and Hapert now possible

From January 9 to February 19, 2026, it is possible to respond to the plans.

A new underground cable connection will be installed between the Eindhoven South and Hapert high-voltage stations. This 150 kilovolt (kV) cable helps maintain the reliability of the electricity grid in the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region. The exact location of the cable still needs to be determined.

Come to an open house meeting on February 2 or 4, 2026, for more information about the project, procedure, and planning. From January 9 to February 19, 2026, it is possible to respond to the plans.

Responding to the plans

The Intention and Participation (VenP) and the announcement of the environmental impact report for this project were published on January 8, 2026. The VenP describes how the Province of North Brabant and grid operator TenneT involve residents and other stakeholders in the next steps. The Environmental Impact Report Announcement describes which alternatives and environmental effects are being investigated within the framework of the environmental impact report (MER) and how this will be done.
