The municipality of Ouder-Amstel can finally start the construction of 330 flexible homes for urgent seekers, starters, young people (23+), and status holders.
Due to the temporary nature of the homes (15 years), it was difficult to obtain financing for the P-Bus project. The municipality of Ouder-Amstel then requested and received financial support from the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning (VRO), housing corporation Ymere, and the municipality of Amsterdam. The Province of North Holland contributed to the last part of the required € 700,000, allowing construction to start now. The first homes are to be built by July 10 of this year.
Subsidy for Housing Projects
The subsidy for this project comes from the investment framework to accelerate housing construction and sustainable accessibility of the Province of North Holland. To accelerate housing construction in North Holland, the province has made over € 76 million available. This amount is used to get housing projects and area developments off the ground. Previously, the province also contributed to 3 large-scale area developments in the Hilversum Station area, the Port of Hoorn, and Haarlem Nieuw Zuid where many homes are being built. Now the contribution to the housing project P-Bus is added.
