The Province of North Holland looks back on a well-attended open meeting about Windpark Waterwolf in Haarlemmermeer South.

During the meeting on November 10 in Abbenes, visitors asked questions and received explanations about the procedure and how they can respond to the plans. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss concerns, wishes, and expectations regarding the possible arrival of wind turbines in the area.

Respond until December 15

The province emphasizes that everyone can respond to the plans until December 15, 2025. This can be done by submitting a viewpoint on the environmental impact study setup (cNRD) or by proposing an alternative within the projects framework. In this way, residents and stakeholders can share their ideas, concerns, or suggestions.

Windpark Waterwolf

Windpark Waterwolf is an initiative of the Wind Coalition Haarlemmermeer South, a collaboration of local citizens and farmers. The project is still in the exploratory phase. On November 3, 2025, the province published the Notification of intention for the project decision and the Participation notification, the participation plan, and the draft Scoping and Level of Detail Memorandum (cNRD). These documents are available for inspection until December 15, 2025 via:

What happens next?

After the exploratory phase, a draft project decision will follow in 2026 if the exploration shows that a wind farm is possible. Everyone can respond again then.
