Ankeveen has had a bus connection to Hilversum station since the end of August. On Friday, September 19, the bus line was festively opened together with the residents of Ankeveen.

This is a Demand-Responsive Transport system: the bus travels on request from Ankeveen directly to Hilversum station and back. Reservations can be made up to 1 hour in advance via the OV-op-Maat app or by phone. The province of North Holland finances this Demand-Responsive Transport system.

The Demand-Responsive Transport system has a trial period of one and a half years. During this period, the province invests € 150,000. After this period, the province will review, together with partners, whether the bus will continue to operate and whether expansion of the line in the region is possible. The collaborating parties are the province of North Holland, the municipality of Wijdemeren, Vervoer Gooi en Vecht, and Transdev. The bus service uses the minibuses that are used at other times of the day for student transport and WMO transport.
