On Sunday, October 26, 2025, the province will carry out emergency repairs to the asphalt on the N203 and the on- and off-ramp of the N246 near Krommenie. The work will take place from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

What will happen? 

The asphalt on this part of the road is in poor condition and no longer safe. Especially now that winter is approaching and the salting season is starting soon, it is important that the asphalt is repaired in the short term. On Sunday, October 26, a new layer of asphalt will be applied. This choice was made because bus line 414 does not operate on Sundays and there is relatively less traffic using the road on that day.  

Closures and Detours 

During the work, the following sections will be closed: 

  • Main lane N203 from Wormerveer to Krommenie  
  • Exit N203 towards N246 (left turn towards A8) 
  • On- and off-ramp N246 towards N203 from Krommenie to Wormerveer  

This means for traffic that:

  • (Freight) vehicles in the aforementioned directions must detour via the indicated detour routes
  • (Bicycle) riders can continue to ride
  • Emergency and rescue services always maintain passage
